Raffaelo is a late male hybrid with good quality attributes and yet a high production potential.

Characteristics

  • Late
  • Thick stems
  • Nicely closed heads
  • High production potential

Cultivation

Raffaelo is suitable for all sorts of bottoms.  The intended rod thickness ensures a profitable production and a long durability of the garden plot. The ideal plant density is 4-6 plants per meter. Raffaelo is especially convenient for the late production of asparagus and performs well under white foil.

Product

Raffaelo has despite its lateness a high production potential. The asparagus  are all straight, smooth and have good closed heads. Raffaelo is easy to sort with high proceeds in the range of 20-26 mm. The share of rusty, crooked and hollow asparagus is small.

Crop

Raffaelo has a high number of mid-high, stable and solid asparagus. The green leafs are relatively dense, but has a high tolerance against a lot of the most common leaf diseases in the asparagus.
