Korona is an attractive type with a high productivity and big, good tasting fruit.
Growth: Rather open plants, with dark green, and bowl shaped leafs.
Flowering: Middle late, strong flowering flowers with well developed anthers.
Productivity: Very good.
Shape: Big fruit, pretty dark coloured red strawberries. Uniform in shape and colour.
Fruit quality: Strong, juicy and good tasting fruit with red pulp.
Impossible or very difficult to pick these strawberries without calyx.
Diseases and damages: Moderately prone to fruit rot, little prone to susceptible to wilt, red root rot and mildew. Ripening at about the same time as Sivetta.
Suited for fresh consumption.
